PostHeaderIcon Lawn Care and Weeding Effectively

Stooping over and picking up the weeds is not everyone’s idea of spending quality time and it is thus no wonder that removing weeds is one of the least loved lawn care jobs, but without this natural process your lawn would never look preserved. Like all plants weeds too need sunlight, soil and nutrition to sustain.

Unfortunately weeds love your lawn and want to dominate it by growing everywhere even if you have used landscape fabric as a means of protection. You will also see weeds on the rest of your grass as well and while mowing can help, it will not get down to the root of the issue. This is where you will need to get down on the ground and start pulling weeds up by, you guessed, it, their roots.

The getting rid of weeds action calls for some protective gear and these include gloves, hat, and a long arm shirt for taking shelter from the sun and prevention from handling any poisonous plants, which might be dwelling there. Take a plastic bag with you to put the weeds into, if you leave them on the lawn, the seeds from them will re-infest the lawn. The weeds must be pulled out right from their roots, or else, they would tend to grow once more. If you find a tough weed, which is difficult to pull, dig the ground a bit and then try again.
